So after the April feature releases, all games on Steam previously running fine stops working. This also happens to some 2010 non-steam games that was running smoothly on a much older computer.
I have tried to looked into logs, ran troubleshooters, reinstalled drivers, disabled all Windows visual effects, closed unnecessary apps. Nothing works.
I would guess the new April version of Windows 10 somehow changes the inner works of graphics drivers and requires more GPU powers just for Windows itself. The reason is the full visual effect setting makes the system laggy now (not before the update, as mentioned in another post of mine).
This is really frustrating as Microsoft allows NOT users to opt out updates, but their updates continue to make things worse.
Most of users just want a worry-free OS to work with, not monthly new features that few people will ever use (like the 3D stuff). And people are not upgrading their PC and laptops just because of these features.
PS: And reverting version is not working.
