Hi all
I upgraded to version 1083 of windows, and since the my PC is unable to boot - 0XC00000f error and the like.
I spent the last 24 hours trying every solution I could find on the internet (auto repair, working from media/DVD, /fixboot, BCD rebuild etc. *all* of them. Trust me).
But here's the thing : there were already 4 partitions on this (MBR) disk, and 1803 certainly tried to create an EFI partition in FAT32 to store BCD info, but just couldn't - as there were already 4 partitions on this disk.
Which means all BCD/Boot info is....nowhere.
Which could explains why this problem occurred, and why no solution would work (especially with 1803)
Windows.old is nowhere to be found, also.
So, would rolling back to 1709/1703 from the Win 10 media disk (DVD) work ? And how to proceed then ? Install over ? Custom install ?
Second best (worst ?) would be to scratch one of these 4 partitions to allow 1803 to create the EFI partition....But it wouldn't make me happy at all.
Many thanks for your help.
Best Regards
Fab
