Acer Laptop running Windows 10 Home. Boots to the login screen and won't accept any password ever used..... must have something to do with that Superman hint.
Here's what happened. I couldn't figure out the password so I used the ISO file from Microsoft and completely reinstalled the machine. Before, the login name was (example) annie45. When I reinstalled I shortened it to annie. I had it so I could login without having to put a password in, it would just login.
I was away and apparently the Internet went out for a time because I had to connect the WIFI again.
Here's the kicker. When it boots it now comes up with annie45. Where did the heck that come from? I don't get it. The upshot now is that I can't figure out the password and have no clue how to go around it short of reinstalling the machine again.
