Plustek A300 Windows 10 software becomes unresponsive after Windows 10 updates

We have two Plustek A300 scanners which have consistently worked perfectly with the compatible software provided by Plustek, after previous Windows OS upgrades.

However, since upgrading to Windows 10 and uploading the compatible software from Plustek (V6.0.0.0) the scanners become unresponsive after a period of time, which appears to correspond with windows updates. The only solution offered by Plustek is to uninstall all other printers from the computers before re-installing the software. This appears to work temporarily, but after a period of time the same issue occurs.


Obviously this is not an ideal situation for a busy working environment so could anyone suggest a more permanent solution please?
