This is not right. Microsoft updated my PC desktop with 1803 from 1709, baked it out back to 1709 and updated again to 1803. My sound, printer and networking still all work fine on this Lenovo idea-PC 64 bit Intel Pentium G2020 under my Linux boot alternative. My anti-virus protection is Webroot.
Since the update from 1709, my sound, my HP Deskjet printer and networking no longer work under 1803. I have attempted to delete and reinstall my sound and printer and I get nothing but system thread exceptions and subsequent locks with Windows 10 "1964 operating system not found errors" when I attempt to reinstall my sound and printer hardware. I am hoping Microsoft can tell me what my peer-to-peer networking design was before they deleted it because I can find no way to go back to 1709 and do not know what the Windows design of my networking was before the update. My Linux networking still works fine on this desktop.
I have asked the moderator of this group to pass my request to Microsoft software engineering after his reply, but have had no answer to my problem from him or anyone else. I believe Microsoft would lose a class action lawsuit over errors induced by their forced Windows 10 version updates without proper support for errors or adequate testing to prevent those errors in the first place.
