I see more and more reasons to dump windows. Apparently this last windows update decided that it needed to replace my audio drivers.
I pulled this information from the Device Manager Event Viewer and can see the update that occurred at 4.35am
Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0662&SUBSYS_17AA102E&REV_1003\4&247a4621&0&0201 requires further installation.
and there were 3 messages at 7.58am within a few seconds of each other:
Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0662&SUBSYS_17AA102E&REV_1003\4&247a4621&0&0201 was migrated.
Last Device Instance Id: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0662&SUBSYS_17AA102E&REV_1003\4&247a4621&0&0201

So what are my options now? I have no sound, I tried deleting them manually and having windows re-install these again. Sound worked
great yesterday. So help me fix this and please tell me why Microsoft felt the urge to update these drivers in the first place?
