I have disabled Cortana a number of times and it seems like MS ("Windows is a service...") updates change it from time-to-time, re-enabling it to thwart the efforts of users like me. What is the current method to disable Cortana's processes permanently? I don't want it on MY PC. Cortana offers me no benefit, and I didn't pay good money for my PC for MS's benefit.
I went into settings and searched for "Cortana". There's a category called "Cortana and search" but it makes no mention of Cortana. Yet, there were three Cortana processes running according to Task Manager. What's MS's next move- to hide these processes from users like me? That would officially make Cortana spyware.
Please tell me how to get rid of Cortana! And thank you for helping.
