Hello,
I have Windows 10 64 bits on a PC, after an update I lost sound, being now unable to hear anything from the PC.
I have tried the following things to fix it:
I have checked all wiring and connected different devices, testing all on them in several PCs, finding that they all worked perpectly fine except in the PC in question.
I have updated drivers from device manager (they were all up-to-date), uninstalled them and restarted (just in case), following all of the instructions available online with no change
I have downloaded the lastest drivers from the manufacturer's website and installed them manually. It also did not work
I also made sure that the sound card (VIA HD sound) was working properly.
I also made sure that the headphones I was using were working properly, plugged as they should and selected as default device.
I also made sure nothing was on silent mode or with low volume.
If I play music everything in the computer indicates it's playing, however, I still have no sound.
Is there anything else I can do?
Thank you,
Sincerely,
