Windows Server 2016 Start Button, and Search Functions Seize To Function After Joining Domain

As the title states. I setup a new VM and install server 2016 and activate windows just fine. Everything runs and functions until I join it to the domain. I lose the Start button function, and the search function just stop working. I have looked at GPO and can't seem to see any config that would prevent this from working. The icons are still present, just don't load when you click on it. Any help would be much appreciated.
