I just reinstalled windows 10 Pro (64 bit) and after all the updates were done I created a system image using the in-built create system image option (See #1 in the screenshot below). I saved it to a secondary internal HDD and it appeared to work OK.
I wanted to test the image so I set about to do a recovery. So I went to the "Backup or restore your files" option in the old style control panel (menu item Control Panel\System and Security\Backup and Restore (Windows 7). This page indicated that a backup had not been set but gave the option to "Select another backup to restore file from"(See #2 in the screenshot below) . I select it and for some reason windows does not find the exisitng system image and i can't navigate to it as I'm only given the option to navigate to a network share. I have not touched the system image directory since it was created. It is in the root directory and my Computer name remains the same (which I read can have an impact if changed after the image was done). If I try to do another another system image it locates the second HDD and even advises that a system image is already there. Any ideas???
