Hello,
I need some serious help. I have an HP windows 8, upgraded to windows 10 laptop that has serious issues. I have not updated it
since 2016 or 2017? I'm not sure because I was in and out of the hospital having surgery and unable to do anything.
The problems with it are as follows; It has a black screen when I turn it on so I connected to and external monitor. When it
finally boots up, everything is flashing on the screen. I cannot open any program except a program that I bought and paid for
called iobit. They offer ways to speed up things, malware removal, a powerful uninstaller, etc... I really want to get rid of these programs
once I fix my laptop. I went to the HP support page and they could not get into the computer besides the warranty has expired.
I entered manually the SN and then told them the problems. They offered several things to try, however, when I able to type on the
web, I have to type one letter then place the cursor back with each letter. I went to the Microsoft support page for windows and
after trying several things, it was sounding like my BIOS was corrupted. I tried several things for the BIOS which did not work. Then
windows support said that I needed to use another PC and download a new BIOS to an external flash drive. I cannot do that because
I do not have one. I can order one offline but it will take two days to get here. I think I will just order one anyway because I have to wait for
someone out there in our community to answer this post or question. I have the laptop hooked up to my external monitor right now
and I am going to use the iobit programs to see if they can help me without paying for anything. I know that there is a terrible, terrible
virus that probably hit my poor laptop, but I refuse to let it die. Oh, and when the screen comes up there is one message that says;
explorer.exe, Hard system error, or something to that affect. Can someone out there with the knowledge of windows please hep me?
