We have 3 Domain controllers in HQ, the primary AD (Server01) is running windows 2012 Std with all roles and DHCP service, we still have another 2 backup domain server which are running on Windows Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Datacenter Edit (Server02) and Windows 2008 R2 Std SP1 (Server03). ( Both are HyPerV guest)
We still have one Domain server in Asia office running on Windows 2012 std ( Server04) and another one domain server in Europe which running Windows 2012 R2 std (Server05) , the Asia and Europe server sync with HQ servers via office Site to Site VPN, single domain setup.
Now I am going to add a new AD server in HQ office which to run windows 2016 std, the purpose is to replace the primary AD (Server01) as the existing server is too old. Since I have mixed OS and have 5 AD server in total, I also have on premise exchange 2010 SP3 system, I am just worry if the new 2016 AD server is compatible with current AD/Exchange setup and if there is a checklist and pre chekclist I can run to prepare a successful migration.
Many thanks again in advanced
Shermaine
