Occasionally my disk use will drop down to 98%, but for the most part it stays constantly at 100%. Computer also takes a painfully long time to startup, and sometimes have to force shut down because the desktop never loads.
When I sort applications by most disk usage, nothing consistently stays at the top. Multiple people have suggested I have a malware issue, but I ran both Microsoft's malware detection and Malwarebytes, and neither found a thing. I've tried disabling windows search and supefetch, neither had an effect (turned them both back on once I learned they didn't change anything.) I've also turned off Chrome flash and uninstalled Skype. According to Windows Update, everything is up to date. I don't know if this is common, but if I run a hardware performance scan, while the scans are running the disk use drops dramatically (under 50%,) but spikes back up to 100% as soon as the scan is finished.
The machine is out of warranty but not even two years old, so would really like to find a fix!
