I have a computer that I purchased with Windows 8 Home Edition. Later, I updated to windows 8.1. When Windows 10 was offered as a free upgrade, upgraded to Windows 10. Last year I had a problem with my hard drive. I took it to for repair, the hard drive was replaced and a copy of Windows Pro.
Now I have started receiving a message at boot, that says my License is about to expire. I think it must be due to the installation of Windows 10 Pro.
I went online to Microsoft and downloaded a Windows 10 Upgrade exe file. My question is, will I be able to install my initial version of Windows 10 Home without loosing programs that I have installed? Will doing this require entering a Key number? Will this expiring license message be eliminated?
