Biometric Passwords in Windows 10 / Windows Hello

I am doing research on password managers and I was wondering if Windows 10 allows users to use their biometrics to replace passwords (ie logging into Facebook with a finger print)? I've heard that they offer this function for some Microsoft applications but it tends to be faulty. If anyone knows if this function exists or if Windows plans on doing something like this any input would be great!
