Recently, my hard drive completely failed and had to be replaced. I now have a new SSD installed with Win10 and a restored registration from the free upgrade period (system was originally Win7). Before the hard drive crash tho, I had a valid and active copy of Office 2010 on my laptop, but can't find any place to be able to redownload the 2010 suite. I could probably find the original download disc if I needed to dig around, but my question now is this: is there any way to ensure that the license was linked to my computer hardware and/or Microsoft account, and can I restore those valid Office programs without having to buy a new license to the 2016 suite?
