How to check the state of Windows Server after the reboot

Hi Team,

I am using the script to update the Windows 2012 R2 server, once update download | installation is finished windows get rebooted

but it takes lots of time and want to check the status of windows 2012 R2 from remote machine using powershell script.

How can I determine that my windows is rebooted or it is still updating from remote computer can someone help here
