First off, apologies if this is not the correct place for IIS questions. I did search and couldnt find a forum dedicated to IIS.
So Im running Server 1012 r2 and Exchange 2013 and in preparing for a migration to Exchange online I discovered that IIS is not generating log files.
If I highlight the server under IIS Manager, then click on Logging I see it's set to:
One log file per site
Format W3C
Directory %systemdrive%\inetpub\logs\Logfiles
Encoding UTF-8
Both log file and ETW event
Schedule daily
Now when I browse to that path Im greeted with two folders, W3SVC1 and W3SVC2 (because there are two sites), the one Im concerned with is W3SVC1. Which is empty, no files at all. The security properties on the parent folder are:
Administrators:Full
System:Full
Domain Users:Read
I've found nothing in the event viewer to help me with this either.. in fact the only logs I can find in there are: IIS-Logging and IIS-Configuration.. ironically both of which are also empty.
At this point the lack of IIS logs is delaying my migration so any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
