I am missing "lookout" that I used when I had XP.

I am now using the Search box (after clicking on the "Start") and do get
fine results just am not understanding how to open up a file (or email, etc)
after I found what I am looking for.

For example: I search for "San Diego" and I get like 50 results in the
"search results in indexed locations" window. I find the exact email that I
was looking for and go and click on it (either single or double have tried
both) and NOTHING happens other than showing a preview of the message.

In Lookout you could click on the message and it would open in a separate
window.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Kittie,

You might check to see if Windows Mail or the email program your using
has all of it defaults associated with it. Go to the link below and
scroll down a way and look at the section "Set Windows Mail defaults".

Hope this helps,

I have no probs with pics, just double-click in the search results.
With emails it asks Windows Mail to open it, or???. I choose Outllook, as it
is my default which Vista forgets, after browsing in Office for it, and it
opens as I want..

If you right-click one of those links > Open with
then you can select an appropriate program to open them with (your default
may have been altered)
