Hi All,
Not sure if this is the best place for this, but it is a bit of a combination of things.
I am backing up various virtual machines using Backup Exec. On the majority of my machines I have no issues at all. However on my DC machine the backup fails with a VSS error.
Having investigated further it appears that the issue is caused by BitLocker (I have switched this off and the backup runs fine). Now all of my VM's have vTPM enabled and as I said backups work fine on the majority. I am unsure of what the difference is with the DC.
Standard windows backup works fine, as does an agent based backup from backup exec, it is only the Virtual Machine backup that fails.
Any ideas on why this might be happening would be greatly appreciated.
Pete
