W 10 update catastrophe

D

dont_say_no

As of the night of the latest update my laptop has developed multiple faults. Important; I have the latest updates of all related programs and these were updated BEFORE the W10 update and 2) I specifically asked MS NOT to update but Microsoft "recommended" (ie ordered) that it MUST be updated so f+++ the customer

I am using a HP laptop and although I started on 8086s and DOS (loverly) I haven't understood anything since W7

1. Right hand bar - click it and it used to go down one screen, now it goes down 2 - 8 screens

2. icons out of place and missing menus

3) the list of past favourites was copied four times and interspersed with loads of junk - almost unusable

4)I had my calendar on Outlook connected to my phone (had to junk the MS one) and iPad but this disappeared

5) Everytime I log in to Microsoft my password is deemed invalid. When I try to put it in as the new password it is refused on the grounds that it has been used. This has happened with other sites also.

6) When the update was done a Tips screen was shown but every interesting heading had faded out text below it, no linmks and

none of them available elsewhere - how do I get LEGIBLE tips?

7. Applicable to a different site but changed by the update:

a) cookies being dropped

b) history data now kept for under a critical 30 days

8. The cursor does not follow text being typed so lumps of text (up to a paragraph) suddenly appear further up in the middle of old text (I have to look at the keys as I type)

9. I used (in W7) to overcome problems by going back to a system restore before the problem - now I get warnings that it is no longer available

Any help with any or all of these would be appreciated but please, no more phone calls in a foreign accent!!!!!
