My laptop uses Windows 10, and is connected to the router using an ethernet cable. Whenever I start W10, although the Ethernet Connection Status seems to be OK, the connection is not working properly, there is packet loss to the router (75% or sometimes 100%). I can solve it unplugging/plugging the ethernet cable or disabling/enabling the ethernet adaptor. But, next time I start my laptop the connectivity problem is exactly the same. I have tried other ethernet cables, other router ports. Another laptop works fine using the same cables and ports, so it seems to be an issue with the laptop. I guess that if there were any problem with the ethernet card, it would not start working after unplugging/plugging o disabling/enabling the adaptor.
