My wife downloaded a hidden object game and crashed the pc. After many attempts to restart, I eventually got it to restart with a rescue disc. Only problem was that to get it up and running, I had to load "WINDOWS 10 HOME N" which has left me with the ability to save all files, photos and video's etc but no access to desktops as they were. The original O/S was Windows 7 upgraded to Windows 10 (as and when upgrades came along).
I now have the following on the PC
Windows
Windows. old
Windows.old.000
Windows.old.001
Unfortunately, there is no way I can find the Licence key to activate "Windows 10 home N" to set up one version only. I have been able to transfer all my files ,photo's music and videos to my other desktop so a complete reinstall would not be too much of a pain.
