2012 R2 Standard Evaluation to volume license

Can I convert 2012 R2 Evaluation installation to a licensed installation using a 2012 R2 volume key? If so, how?

I've read this article which shows how to convert from evaluation to retail:Evaluation Versions and Upgrade Options for Windows Server 2012.

But I'm not clear if it's possible to convert from eval to volume.
