My system - Windows Server 2012 R2.
I have problem with Windows updates not installing because the problem with Microsoft iSCSI initiator driver. When I try to install it with the command pnputil -a C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_iscsi.inf_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.18470_none_2d88c8d8c79967be\iscsi.inf I get error The third-party INF does not contain digital signature information.
If then I disable driver signature enforcement and try installing the driver - the installation succeed. And Windows Update also succeed. But why this driver does not have digital signature information? In the iscsi.inf file it's stated that manufacturer of driver is Microsoft Corporation. How is it even possible that Microsoft does not sign its own driver?
I tried to find Microsoft iSCSI initiator in Device Manager, but it's not there. I tried to download and install driver but when I try to install it I get error Setup could not find the update.inf file needed to update your system
Why Microsoft iSCSI initiator driver is not digitally signed? How can I repair digital signature of this driver? If this is not possible - how to delete driver from the system so that it doesn't interfere with Windows update?
