We have been having issues with installing a few pieces of software to one of our servers. We contacted the support team for one of the programs Shadow Protect. It turns out the process is failing when installing a new kernal driver or uninstalling an old kernal driver.
We have attempted to uninstall this driver which fails with the error
Failed to call server side to import driver package. Error = 0x0000000D
They noticed that not just their kernel level driver, the server had lots of issues installing other kernel level drivers with the same error too . Some examples :
C:\Windows\system32\spool\{14F2F7F6-AB8F-4A99-B2F0-17153365C5F3}\cnp60ka64.inf
Failed to call server side to import driver package. Error = 0x0000000D
c:\program files\ca\arcserve unified data protection\engine\bin\driver\afstorhba.inf
I have checked for system corruption and found no issues. Anyone have any suggestions?
