Slow Transfer speeds on SSD with Windows 10, Already disabled Remote Differential Compression

Hi. I'm having really slow transfers on Windows 10

I never had this issue in windows 7.

I have an AMD 1700X, 32GB ram DDR4

Asrock Mobo

I am running a fully updated Windows 10 x64

All powering saving options are set to maximum performance

All drives tested good on SMART software including Samsung Magic Disk

SSD to SSD, Samsung 860 EVO 1TB to Micron 1100 2TB

Using both large files and small files - transfer rates stayed between 0 and 60 MB averaging 27 MB/s

This is on both SATA III and using my external USB Sabrent 4 bay and my 2 bay Insignia, both USB 3.0

However both of my SSD are capable of 500- 550 MB/s

Interestingly, my main SSD which is a corsair 550, can unzip files at rates of 60-100 MB/s

But it's about twice that speed, 120 -200 using 7Zip instead of the windows unzip.

And file copies from the main disk to the main disk seem to be okay and pretty fast in comparison to disk to disk transfers.

Also I have this same problem with my AV disabled or uninstalled. It's not my antivirus.

I disabled Remote Differential Compression and it helps somewhat, but it's still far below spec.

I also disabled the other net commands as recommended in my CMD but it didn't do much.

And I also tried "defrag" or TRIMM on these drives. It still is very slow.

Disabling thumbnails didn't do anything either.

I noticed that transfering many folders at once verses simply selecting all and doing a copy/paste made the transfers much much faster.

For example it was like everything was capped out at 60 MB/s but at least I could copy 4 folders at once all at that same speed.

Windows 10 seems to be very slow processing the files one at a time, like it is not optimized for multicore or something. This is very strange. I am sure that even windows XP would run faster transfers. It seems especially problematic with lots of small files and with USB SSD.
