Hello,
Today, roughly a week after I reinstalled Windows 10 after a Microsoft update killed my prior install, all of my data in Windows.old has been deleted -- without *any* warning or asking my permission. After the install, everything from the C drive was stored in the Windows.old directory. Now, all of that data, including all of the data that was in my users directory is now gone. I installed data recovery software and it looks like most of my old Program Files can be retrieved but nothing in the users directory is available. That is, all of my personal files that I didn't store on the cloud are now deleted and cannot be recovered.
Why would you program your software to do this?
