After sleep mode, Windows 10 intermittently makes me hit CTRL ALT DEL in order to be prompted for my screen PIN

Ever since the latest automatic update to windows 10 I received, my pc makes me hit ctrl alt + del to get prompted for my screen pin. This is a pain in the neck. Is there something Microsoft can send me to resolve this? It doesn't happen every time. Sometimes I can just move my mouse after the system has been asleep and be prompted for my pin. Other times, it won't budge and I must hit CTRL ALT DEL. No consistently as to when it will happen. Please help.
