windows 8 upgrade

My windows 10 got stuck in a auto repair loop to cut a long story short I now have a clean hdd I have had to put my windows 8 upgrade on to download windows 10 but it will not let me because it is an upgrade so I tried to load XP to upgrade to 8 but XP will not load so unless I can get a new windows 8 key it will not let me do anything.
