Hello,
This is a physical device and our primary domain controller. Other updates have worked since. Because we are unable to install this rollup, we have been unable to fully mitigate the CredSSP vulnerability and appreciate any assistance.
So far we have tried:
In every case when we attempt to install the patch, we get the same error message citing code 0x80004005

- Installation through windows update - fails
- Installation through manual download of MSU
- Installation via DISM through extraction of CAB from MSU
- Normal reboot of the server.
- As above but from clean boot state.
- Running sfc /scannow - no errors
- Manually cleaning out the softwaredistrubution\downloads folder
- Installing the System Update Readiness tool - no errors are detected
- Attempting install with AntiVirus disabled.
