When, during a migration, can i choose the CAL licenses per device or per user?

Hi,
i m doing a migration from 2003 Server to 2012 Server R2 Standard.

When i have installaed the new 2012 server i have had no question concerning the kind of CAL (per user or per device) i want to use.


Is it something i can decide later, eventually even after i have completed the migration?

And if yes, does exist a grace period for CAL licenses?

I m not interested for now for remote desktop licenses, what matter to me for now are the CAL licenses for AD, login and shared folders.
