Fall Creators Update breaks printing to network shares

So-Frustrated

In the picture above, RUMCAJS refers to the Windows 10-computer with a freshly installed Fall Creators Update, and AKI is another computer - running Windows 7 - with an HP LaserJet 6L attached to it. You can see that the printer is visible to RUMCAJS, and that I've double-clicked on the printer share to begin printer installation.

This fails:

To move things along, I have downloaded the requisite driver from the Microsoft Update Catalog, clicked OK and then pointed to the INF file like so:

Clicking 'Open' and then 'OK' produces the following:

I've googled high and low and could not find a solution. The printing worked fine on RUMCAJS under Windows 10 before the Fall Creators Update. It continues to work fine from another computer (not shown) running Windows 7.

I tried installing the printer driver manually by right-clicking on the INF file and selecting 'Install'. This apparently went fine, but did not resolve the connectivity problems.

Any assistance will be much appreciated. Thank you.
