Hello all,
I am not sure if I am posting in the correct forum, but we are experiencing
an issue that just started yesterday. We have a windows 2003 server that is
our print server and up until yesterday afternoon, clients that were running
Vista were able to select a printer from the server and print to it - even
though the Vista driver was not installed on it. Right now, when trying to
print to the same print device on the print server, clients are getting an
error that is telling them that they need to download the driver in order to
connect. I know that this is a very basic question, but has anyone experinced
this issue and if so, how was it resolved? What I don't understand is that we
weren't having these issues until yesterday pm. I am reaching here, but could
this be related to the Windows Updates that were released yesterday? The
updates haven't been installed on the server as of now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards
Greg
