Does Win. Srv 2012 R2 Lic Works on Win Srv 2016

Hi,

i have upgrade my windows Server 2012R2 Standard edition to windows Server 2016 standard edition. My Previous OS windows server 2012R2 Standard was licensed with a OEM key. But after up-gradation to windows server 2016 standard edition the OS shows that Windows is not activated.

My question is ...how can i active my windows server 2016 standard edition, with my previous key of windows server 2012R2 standard? or there any other option to use 2012 server key on 2016 server.

My Previous OS: windows server 2012R2 Standard edition.

Upgraded To: windows server 2016 Standard edition.
