Hi,
I have been using Windows Sever 2016 Datacenter as a learning platform. I have come to a point where I want to remove a number of roles that I originally added. I want to remove RDS (trial expired) and Hyper-V (I would like to remove and then start from scratch). I am having difficulty removing these.
I have tried server manager and powershell. I am able to go through the process to having to reboot the server. When the server reboots it gives an on screen message that updates could not be performed and reverts back to old settings. In other words I simply can't remove the roles. Where do I find any more specific error messages? What else can I do to try to figure out why I can't remove the roles, and what I can do to finally remove them?
