Scenario:
Single Label Domain > ABC
DC01 - Windows 2008 R2 - Domain Controller with DHCP
DC02 - Windows 2003 R2 - Domain Controller
No Vlans, Flat Network with around 150 users, no exchange server / no SharePoint server
Requirements:
We want to upgrade Active Directory to Server 2016. Yes we know SLD is absolute and we should rename/migrate it. but at a moment to avoid any unexpected issue, we want to continue with SLD.
Our Suggested Path:
To upgrade we should remove windows 2003 first, and then add 2016 server and promote it to DC and then remove 2008 dc and add other 2016 base DC and promote it.
Will this work ?
