New virtual machine witch same vdx as old

HiI had problems with snapshots on my virtual machine. I could not delete them. It is a domain controller. I manually merged all snapshots to one VDX, but I could still not delete the snapshots.

Then I created a new virtual machine and attached the same HD (the VDX-file). Everything seems te be working. I just had to set up the same ip-adress to network adapter. Will this affect anything else?
