Hi,
I need to try and find a proper fix for this as its been bugging me to ages. I manage a small network (30+ PC's, 6 Servers, NO WSUS) 5 of those servers are 2012 R2 and one is 2016 and the 2016 server just wont install updates when I tell it to and its always 50/50 if I try and install them manually. The other servers have always been fine.
I have read (and tried) the deleting the Catroot and Software dist folders procedure before but that's never worked. I have thought about whether its worth trying to get WSUS working on one of my servers and see if that works.
Its a Windows Server 2016 Standard Build 1607. Its a working server that runs SQL, so its not like I can rebuild it from scratch.
Anyone know anything else I can try?
Cheers...
