server 2016 and domain question

I am new to win server subject and I like to build a computer with server 2016 to practice subjects like , AD, WDS , IIS etc.

so the question is while I am installing the win server 2016(in virtualbox), it is asking about the domain. do I have to have a domain ? specially this for practicing at home ? Is this going to be a problem while I am practicing with AD or WDS ?
