how do i retrieve data from my phone?

i switched off my phone by mistake and when i put it on i did not ask for the simcard pin so i tried to unlock it i found out that nothing appears after unlocking it, the screen is just white there is nothing i can do. what could have happened??it is a microsoft 640, windows 8
