Hi all,

First of all I will explain the situation, currently we have around 50 Windows Server machines, all virtualised by the way. A few of them are at the latest version of Windows Server 2016. Updates are managed with WSUS. For testing purposes we use RDP to manage those servers. However this is the part where it's starting to be annoying.

Logging in into the servers as domain user is slow, very slow. And the recurring fact is that it always takes about 1 minute and 5 seconds. Problem occurs at logging in when the server is rebooted, and when we just disconnect the session. From my opinion, when you disconnect the session it has to be logged in VERY quick.

This issue doesn't occur at the 2012 R2 servers, checking the Windows Event log, I see a recurring event after a successful login saying:
"The Desktop Window Manager has registered the session port."
"Event ID: 9027"

When I log in with the builtin Administrator account, it takes a few seconds to show the desktop, when I disconnect the session and log in again with the builtin account it just takes a second.

Does anyone recognize this behavior? If so, what will be the solution?

Thanks in advance!

Ard
