This problem only began about 3 months ago.
Our users use EFS encryption on their local documents folders. If they copy an encrypted file from Windows 10 to an unencrypted share on Windows 7, 2008 R2, or Windows 10, they will be prompted (after about 10 seconds) to confirm that they want to copy the file without encryption.
However, when copying to a Server 2012 R2 share, the copy job freezes indefinitely. The job cannot be cancelled either; the cancel job freezes as well. We tried with multiple servers with the same consistent results. Server 2012 R2 is affected, other OS's are not (we have no 2012 vanilla or Windows 8 so we haven't tested)
Has anyone else encountered this, and is this due to some kind of bug? This used to work.
