Hi everyone,
Where are GPOs stored on domain member servers?
I am unable to locate the GUID of a domain GPO, with the purpose of ensuring it is removed, from the target server.
W10 computers store GPOs here: c:\windows\System32\GroupPolicy\DataStore\0\sysvol\domainname\policies.
However on this Azure VM, those folders do not exist.
When searching the C drive for the *GUID#*...it did find the policy we DO want applied in C:\programData\Microsoft\Group Policy\History.
When searching the C drive for the *GUID#* for a policy that GPResults confirms is applied, there are no hits at all.
Nor can I find the GUID for the policy we want to ensure is removed.
I am looking for the repository location of all the group policies as is seen on a W10 domain joined pc.
GPResults shows the new policy is applied and the old policy is not, however the server settings do not reflect what is expected.
Thanks so very much
Andy
