Typically I used to be able to reboot from the Ctrl + Alt + Delete screen and it would give me the option to skip any updates OR I would use "shutdown -<g class="gr_ gr_78 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del gr-progress" data-gr-id="78" id="78">r -t</g> 0" and that too would reboot without applying any updates but I've noticed that on Server 2016 both methods will still install updates which I don't want depending on what's pending or that time of day.
Other than using WSUS or another patch mgmt solution (single server env) is there a way for me to simply reboot the server without applying updates?
