I have a RRAS on a 2012 R2 server that has been running fine for a few years. Suddenly, when clients connect they get an APIPA address (169.254.x.x). The internal interface on the RRAS server also has an APIPA address. In the event log, I have a recurring event, event ID 20169 - Unable to contact a DHCP server. The Automatic Private IP Address will be assigned to dial-in clients. Clients may be unable to access resources on the network.
