So i went to log off for the night and shut off my laptop but i noticed it said update and restart so i took that option now get this, at the bottom right of the screen while it was updating it said windows needs 2 days to finish updates it was like like 6 updates out of 157 when i checked, it took hours to finish. after i started my laptop i was like yes maybe all the fps spikes i've been having would be gone i checked and the fps spikes was still there so i checked again. there it was.. again. update and restart so i did, spent 2 hours again updating. and turned it on and THERE IT WAS AGAIN same update.
i do not know what to do its a good laptop and isnt beat down but why am i having FPS spikes in every game, they arent bad like for example my fps in minecraft would be 340 then it would stop the whole game for atleast 1.5 seconds and then when i check my fps it'd be at 70 and going back up same with every other game. i checked if anything needed updates and everything is up to date. maybe something does need to be updated im not sure how im not completely new with computers ive been playing games on them for years but whats different about this one? idk ideas theories? is it windows 8 being dumb?
side note, yes ive tried factory resetting. :C
