Hello MS,
I have a new laptop (Lenovo Yoga 920) with Windows 10 and am trying to connect to a monitor (Sony 4k TV) using a use USB-C to HDMI adapter.
When the lid on my computer is open, the display is on both the laptop screen and the TV monitor are fine. However, when I close the lid, Windows switches 'projection mode' and the display on the TV monitor suddenly becomes very fuzzy / blurry and the text is very hard on the eyes.
I bought three different USB-C to HDMI adapters (including a Lenovo brad one) and had the same issue with all of them.
Troubleshooting: I ran all projection modes and here are the results:
PC Screen only: Laptop Display Good, TV Display Off
Duplicate: Laptop Display Good, TV Display Good
Extend: Laptop Display Good, TV Display Good
Second screen only: Laptop Display Off, TV Display Very Fuzzy / Blurry Display
I also went to Device Manger \ Display Adapters and tried updating the graphics card drivers and that did not work. I also tried re-installing it and that did not work.
This means I can use my TV Monitor only with my laptop screen open... ergh
I'm out of ideas, why could this be happening?
