How to copy to a windows 2012 R2 backup folder from a portatale HD to a NAS unit.

Hi Guys,

Trying to figure out if there is a way to copy to a windows 2012 R2 backup folder from a portable HD to a NAS unit. I need to make sure it will work when needed. The USB HD could be connected into the NAS unit directly.

In general is that really possible to restore from use the copied folder?
