I had a client call in this morning because their domain controller was in airplane mode. I thought she had to be mistaken but when I arrived she was not. It took a reboot before it would turn off. (I.e. simply clicking the icon or flipping the switch didn't turn it off.)
Everything I have seen doing searches have been related to drivers for hardware airplane mode buttons on laptops. I have not found a single article for Server 2016. I have other 2016 servers that I manage that have the button removed from the notification center and control panel. So I know it's possible but I can't find where to make these changes. I'm assuming something in the registry.
So my question: How do I disable this option so it never happens again?
